That won't be a stretch for the veteran, who has played 262 games at second in his career. Still, the Marlins will miss the spark plug in their offense while he's away. Gordon has had a stellar season, posting a 338/.359/.413 slash line and leading the majors with 122 hits coming out of the All-Star break. His 33 stolen bases are second only to Billy Hamilton's 44 in the majors.Gordon dislocated his thumb Saturday while sliding into first base. He is eligible to return July 28.
