Kobe Bryant is old and sore.

"Right now, I'm barely standing up. My back and my legs, man, it's killing me," the Lakers veteran said, via ESPN, after Sunday night's 97-85 Lakers victory over the Pistons.

Bryant, 37, played a season-high 36 minutes and finished a hair shy of a triple-do

uble with 17 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. He played the entire fourth quarter because it was a close game, but looking ahead, that may not be the best strategy.

"I'm not looking forward to walking to the car right now," Bryant said. "Seriously."

Because of Bryant's excessive playing time in Sunday night's game, the forward will be sitting out Monday's game against the Suns.
